This is my latest song written within minutes. Simple chord progression in D major: D D/F# G A7. I got these lyrics from a Taiwanese. The lyrics sheet sits on my digital piano for years. I only managed to compose the melody recently. You are welcomed to give any comment. Only honest comment can trigger improvement.

June 27, 2007i really really like it.. ๐ i dont know why… i usually dont like chinese pop.. and I NEVER listen to chinese pop… but your stuff is good ๐ i guess theres a tinge of jazz element in it.. keep up this unique quality.. without it, it will just be another chinese pop..(my opinion)

June 27, 2007Actually KCLau has been playing jazz for quite some time also. That’s why if you listen closely, you will notice a lot of extensions to the basic chords he is using. I hear a lot of maj7th and some maj9th in it.. and also some G/A too if i’m not mistaken.. These are just a few ways to spice up your normal pop song.. giving it a more jazzy feel.

June 28, 2007Rewsnat really has a pair of sharp ears. All the chord and voicing mentioned are played in the video.
Bena, we wish to publish more articles about piano accompaniment. I heard that Rewsnat is going to compile a series of piano lesson regarding this area.
