Evan Mack, a second-year doctoral student in piano at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, wrote a song called “There’s No Sunset in Virginia.” After YouTube posted it on the site’s main page, it attracted thousands of viewers.

Tribute to Virginia Tech Piano Improvisation

Mack began selling a new recording of the song for $1.99 on his Web site, pledging that the proceeds would go to a memorial fund at Virginia Tech.
